Nearly 1,000 refugees have arrived in New Hampshire over the last five years — and they are still building careers, learning English, raising families, navigating health care, and building lives here.
BCNH has been preparing. We’ve pursued grants, partnerships, and new funding.
But for 2027, we still face a:

Mrs B and her family arrived from Ukraine in August 2022 with their two-year-old son fleeing war and seeking safety in the United State
BCNH helped them find housing, connect with a family doctor, understand available programs, find employment, complete paperwork, and overcome transportation and language barriers.
Later, when David was diagnosed with autism, BCNH helped the family find specialists, schedule appointments, access translation and transportation, and connect with services such as ABA therapy.

With that support, they have become more confident and independent in managing life in their new community.

SEPTEMBER 30 CHANGES OUR FUNDING.
People will still be building lives here while facing growing uncertainty — from expiring work authorizations and delayed green cards to the loss of Medicaid and SNAP benefits.
For many families, the need is becoming more urgent.
BCNH will still be here helping people navigate those challenges, connect with resources, and keep moving forward.
